In 2014 she was chosen to run again as an independent candidate(Dera Ghazi Khan-III); this time with 79 817 more votes which helped her win over Awais Leghari!
She was named as Minister of State for Climate Change on October 5th, 2018. In June 2019, Gul received censure from Imran Khan because she utilized her situation to impact NACTA in the arrangement of her sister, who currently has 18 grades. Zartaj Gul said while speaking to The Express Tribune.
"I only have the moral support of my family. None of them are politicians," She said, adding that without any financial backing against Dera Ghazi Khan's tribal leaders, she won because of Imran Khan's intentions and PTI.
She maintained, "People do not want a corrupt politician; this time they have chosen the representatives that belong from among them." She aims to work for underprivileged people in South Punjab and her native region of Waziristan.
